What should we bring?Bring the aloha spirit and good vibes! For a fun and comfortable day out on the water, be sure to pack a few essentials. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are a must to protect yourself from the sun, and UV-protective clothing is a great option for extra coverage. We also recommend bringing your own lunch, snacks, and drinks to keep energized throughout the day. The boat is equipped to ensure your comfort, but feel free to bring anything you may need for a comfortable day on the water. There are small stores near the harbor that offer sandwiches, snacks, drinks, and even beer, but it’s best to purchase these items in advance as the selection is limited. Don’t forget to stay hydrated and get ready for an unforgettable day on the water!
-
Can we keep what we catch?Yes, you can keep what you catch, within reasonable limits of what you’ll enjoy while on vacation. Our crew will cut, clean, and bag the fish for you. However, not all fish can be kept. Some species, including certain sizes, may be catch and release to support sustainability. We encourage you to take home some fresh fish, but please keep in mind that we do reserve the right to keep yellowfin tuna over 50 pounds.
-
Are you family-friendly?Absolutely! Our charters are perfect for families, and we love seeing kids and adults alike enjoy a day on the water. Our crew is experienced in working with children and beginners, so it’s a great way to introduce the whole family to the fun of sportfishing.
-
How many people can go on the boat? Our boat is licensed to accommodate up to 6 passengers. With a deck, flybridge, cabin, and 2 estate rooms, there is plenty of room for your enjoyment.
-
Are the charters private?Yes, our charters are private! When you book with us, you’ll have the boat and crew all to yourselves, ensuring a personalized experience tailored to your needs.

Should we tip the crew?Tipping is encouraged! Our crew works very hard to ensure every trip is enjoyable and that you have the best chance at catching fish. They’re dedicated to making your experience memorable, and any tip is greatly appreciated as a thank-you for their effort and expertise. While 20% is the industry standard, it is completely up to you as our guest.
-
Can weather or water conditions affect our trip?Yes, weather and water conditions can sometimes affect our ability to safely go out on the water. Safety is our top priority, so if conditions are unfavorable, we may need to reschedule or cancel your trip. We’ll keep you updated leading up to your charter and do our best to accommodate an alternate time if needed. Cancellations or changes due to unfavorable weather can be made closer to the scheduled departure time, as conditions can change rapidly.

What should we do upon arrival at the harbor?Once you arrive at the harbor, please make your way to Dock C-3. After entering the harbor via Kealakehe Parkway, continue down the road and make the first turn on the right. You’ll pass a small shopping area on your right called The Yard—continue past this and take the first left, just past the small convenience store and gas station. Follow the road all the way to the end, toward the boat ramps. On the left side of the easternmost ramp, you’ll find access to our designated ramp area, marked with a sign. Once on the dock, our crew will be there to greet you and answer any last-minute questions. They’ll also provide a quick briefing on the day’s itinerary, safety protocols, and any necessary instructions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip before heading out. We encourage you to arrive at the boat 15 minutes before departure time.
